As a reward for your hard work and dedication, on your 20th Anniversary, Benchmark Group will send you and a guest on an expenses paid trip to one destination anywhere in the United States or Puerto Rico, including Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The trip includes airfare for two, $800 for lodging and $1,100 for spending.

JIM's 20 Year Trip:

It could truly be called a trip of his dreams when Jim and his wife, Kathy, decided to go to Washington, D.C. and Virginia Beach, Virginia. They received the expense paid trip from Benchmark Group in the fall of 2000 to celebrate Jim's 20 years with the company.

Jim had been to D.C. one other time, but it was a quick trip that didn't allow much time to see the historic sites. He also wanted to do more than sightsee the nation's capitol, so they spent 3-4 days there and the remainder of the time in Virginia.

There were several notable events for Jim and Kathy. Jim had his first ever subway ride. They visited with Congressman Asa Hutchison, who arranged for them a VIP tour of the Capitol Building, including a visit to the Speaker of the House's office. No trip to D.C. could be complete without a trip to the Smithsonian Museum and the various national monuments.

At Virginia Beach, they stayed at a hotel with a beautiful beach view. And since it was later in the year, their were no crowds. They took several day trips, including one to Suffolk, VA, home of the Peanut Fest. While they were a little early for the festival, they did buy 50 pounds of peanuts that were shipped back home and then divided up among the Staff as a "momento" of the trip.

Shortly after their return, the video of the trip was shown at a Staff lunch, so all Benchmark Group Staff could enjoy it.
