Benchmark Group started in Rogers, Arkansas in 1978.
We were an early user of Personal Computers for Building Design, and pioneered
the use of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) in Arkansas.
In the early 80's, Energy Codes were implemented around the country. We sponsored
and presented a Four-State Energy Code Seminar to help people better understand
these requirements.
In the early 90's, we took the lead on the "Americans with Disabilities
Act" (ADA), which deals with building accessibility issues. Our research
into the ADA began several months before the final regulations were released.
We sponsored and presented 11 ADA seminars in Detroit, Chicago, Kansas City,
Tulsa, and other cities. Our Staff have spoken at several national and local
events on this issue as well.
More recently, we became more involved in Sustainable Building Design, aka Green Design.
Today, Benchmark Group is one of the largest consulting firms in the State of Arkansas.
